Festival Experience | All You Need To Know

With little over a week until CATALYST, we’re all beginning to think about booking our tickets, packing our tents and getting lifts sorted. We wanted to give you some of the key information you need as you get ready for the festival experience.

Before you arrive at Glenarm, you can check out this year’s festival guide. This will let you know what’s happening throughout the weekend:

You can still order full festival passes & day tickets on our website. Tickets will also be available at the festival site & can be purchased with cash & card.

Doors open at Glenarm at 3pm on Friday, so you have plenty of time to set up your tent before the festival kicks off. Our first MainStage session begins at 7.30pm, but come down to the Big Top for 7pm where you can get some Beef & Guinness Stew – the best part is that it’s on us!

If you’re coming down to CATALYST for the day on Saturday or Sunday – our MainStage sessions begin at 10am, but feel free to come down early & grab a coffee before it all kicks off.

CATALYST is for the whole family & our children bring so much life to the festival. We have a Creche (ages 0-5) & Kids Venue (ages 6-11) on site. There will be a supervised Creche available during the morning MainStage Sessions & the Kids Venue will have a program running during the MainStage Sessions on Saturday & Sunday. The venues will also be open throughout the festival, but children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

We have you covered at this year’s festival! With Cafe Smart, Foundations & Christian Aid, you won’t be stuck for choice when it comes to coffee & breakfast. The Fatted Calf are also at CATALYST – they’ll be serving the legendary Hog Roast on Sunday & giving you picnic options on the Saturday afternoon. Their tearoom will also be open during the festival.

We love the sense of family at CATALYST & we love to gather together throughout the festival to share food & conversations.

  • BIG FAMILY PICNIC: On Saturday afternoon we’ll all be sharing a picnic together. Pack some lunch for yourselves & bring some to share with others, or head over to The Fatted Calf to pick up some food.
  • THE CATALYST CAMPFIRE: On Saturday evening, our great friends at Christian Aid will be hosting a campfire in the Woodland. We’ll be providing some cheese, but please feel free to bring a bottle along with you.
  • END OF FESTIVAL HOG ROAST: As the festival draws to a close, we’ll get to share the legendary hog roast!

The sun’s going to be splitting the sky at this year’s festival. However, it’s always good to be prepared with good gear – just in case! Pack well, especially if you’re camping with us!

We can’t wait for the festival to begin!

See you all in Glenarm.
